Russia has officially responded to recent U.S.-Ukraine peace talks held in Saudi Arabia.The war, which began with Russia’s invasion in February 2022, has dragged on for over three years. In an effort to broker peace, American and Ukrainian officials met for eight hours, producing a joint statement calling for a 30-day ceasefire. President Donald Trump warned of severe repercussions if Moscow refuses to comply, while also pledging to resume military aid to Ukraine,
Russia, however, expressed frustration over being excluded. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized the talks, insisting Russia won’t accept any deal that threatens its interests.
